The Mba Poker Tournament of 2011

Harrah’s MBA poker tournament in 2011 looks set to be bigger than ever before, attracting even more players than ever before. But what exactly does the tournament entail?

Well, the MBA literally stands for the degree to which its namesake refers: Masters of Business Administration. Those studying for an MBA are invited to participate.

Unlike many other tournaments that take place at Harrah’s, the MBA caters to poker players of all skill levels. However, those competing will fare better if they are familiar with the rules of Texas Hold’em, so if you’re thinking of taking part, make sure you catch up on some Hold’em action if you’re a little rusty.

The MBA poker tournament of 2011 comprises three events, scheduled for the 14th, 15th and 16th of January of that year. Participants must be aged 21 years or older. Here’s how the 2011 schedule looks:

Friday the 14th January kick-starts events, with registration taking place at 8am. The first tournament will kick-off at 2pm – the Early Bird Tournament #1, a game of No-Limit Hold’em. The buy-in for this event is $65.

The following day (Saturday the 15th January), sees the second tournament take place, another round of No-Limit which has a buy-in of $225. This event starts proceedings at 12pm.

Sunday the 16th January, the final day of the MBA tournament, will see the third tournament take place, which has a buy-in of $150. There is also an additional Championship Beer Pong tournament that takes place on this day.

As with all previous MBA events, the MBA poker tournament of 2011 has attracted a great number of players, from amateurs looking to make their mark on the circuit, to experienced players alike.
